From: CTMI – A Cult or Just Radical Christianity?
- Most of our family members performed with excellence in matric and were already booked into universities. One, a dux at her private school, had qualified for entrance to medical school.
- Others were already employed – some in senior positions as they were already successful university graduates or post graduates. Most resigned their jobs and were not shy to request financial help from the “persecuting” parents
- The majority of matriculants from our families are still unqualified and have been put to work in the church. Many were lured to “Bible School” in Mauritius which very quickly closed and the students all put to work with manual labour on the new church building in Mauritius. Ex members report leaders strongly discouraged university qualifications. “What use is that piece of paper when Jesus is coming soon.” If studies are allowed it must be by correspondence while remaining close to the church because universities are “den’s of iniquity”.
