From: CTMI – A Cult or Just Radical Christianity?
- Our family member’s and CTMI leader’s blogs often gloried in persecution! “Isnt it wonderful to know we must be right because we are being persecuted”
- Basil O Connell Jones, Pastor of Durban CTMI speaking at a meeting in the CTMI Bulawayo Church said:
“ It’s amazing how twisted people hang around together speaking about twisted things. They (i.e. CPG) judge those who are pure (i.e. CTMI) because they are not twisted like them. We are before the Lord day and night asking the Lord to give them the ability to repent.
The Durban Church is being persecuted, I am talking serious stuff. I am getting phone calls, letters, you name it. I know all this persecution will stop if I simply stop preaching this gospel. We are a small church in South Africa but a powerful church. One of the things persecution does is that it calls you to take a side. Either defend the gospel or run. Persecution causes us to grow.”
- We posted this on our forum and reminded them of Peter’s warning in 1 Peter 3 to ensure that when you suffer it is for doing good things not bad things. We assured them we are not opposing good things but verified, biblical bad things.
